to apply for the job
We are now looking for a housing supporter to our team at S A Norling. We offer training and a developing job where you can make a difference! The position is for night shifts.
About SA Norling We house 6 adults with autism and intellectual disabilities aged 20–62 years. They live in their own apartments but need extra support and help in their daily lives, e.g. with structure, cleaning, cooking, shopping, or planning and carrying out activities. As staff, it is important to understand that our workplace is the individual's home. It is the individual who decides how they want it in their home, not us who work there.
Working as a housing supporter means helping them in all aspects of daily life and meeting their various needs regarding both support and care as well as activities and leisure. The care needs vary for each individual. We are calm, secure, and warm adults who understand the importance of encouragement, community, and having fun together while also emphasizing clarity, order, and structure. We work predictably and clearly with pedagogy and alternative communication methods.
The residence is located in a residential area in central Skara. We are a staff group of 12 people, of which 4 hold night positions. Working hours vary between day, evening, night, weekend shifts, on-call nights, and day shifts.
About the role
In the role of housing supporter, you will base your work on the residents' individual needs and wishes and provide support in daily life from a pedagogical perspective. Together with other employees, you will work towards making the day meaningful and rich in content. You will support and guide with personal care, meals, medication management, cleaning, community contacts, and communication. An important part of the job is to stimulate and motivate the resident to develop their abilities and create opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time. Your tasks also include documenting and planning based on implementation plans.
Your experience and knowledge
You who are applying have a high school education in care and nursing or another equivalent education. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing, good computer skills, and experience in documentation. It is meritorious if you have experience working with the target group. A valid driver's license is required!
You have a positive outlook, a strong commitment to people, and are responsible. You enjoy working in a team and supporting your colleagues, always keeping our users' best interests in mind in everything you do.
At Nytida, we are in constant development. With us, you can grow as a person while making a difference for others. Our culture is permeated by our values – respect, responsibility, simplicity, and knowledge.
